# How to Exchange TRX for MWD Using TronLink

➔ **Wallet installation**

To start, you need to install a non-custodial wallet that supports the Tron network, such as TrustWallet or TronLink. When creating a new wallet, make sure to save the seed phrase—it’s essential for recovering access to your wallet.

➔ **Funding your wallet with TRX** 

After installing the wallet, you need to fund it with TRX (TRC-20 network). TRX is required for making swaps and paying network fees (gas). You can top up your balance by transferring TRX from another wallet or purchasing it on a cryptocurrency exchange and then transferring it to your wallet. It’s recommended to send a sufficient amount of TRX upfront to avoid additional swaps and extra fees. Keep in mind that all transactions (withdrawals, swaps) come with network fees, so your wallet should always have at least 50 TRX, or preferably more.

Once your wallet is set up and funded with TRX, you can proceed to swap TRX for MWD. Detailed instructions for the TronLink wallet can be found below.

## Installing and creating the wallet

Install the TronLink wallet.

If you already have a Tron network wallet, you can import it using your secret phrase by clicking **Import Wallet**.

To create a new wallet, click **Create Wallet**.

Review the informational message and the terms of service.

Create a password, confirm it, check the box, and click **Create Wallet**.

In the next step, proceed to view your wallet’s recovery secret phrase. Click the **Set Up** button to do this.

To view the secret phrase, click **View Mnemonic**.

Write down all the words in the exact order they appear on the screen. Each word is marked with a semi-transparent number in the cell.

Check all the words and their order, then click **Already Backed Up** to continue.

Follow the on-screen instructions. Repeat a few words from the list as shown in the example, then click **Complete**.

Your wallet is now created, and you can click the **Explore TronLink** button.

## Purchasing TRX and sending it to your wallet

In the spot trading section on Bybit, you can buy TRX using USDT (example: [how to buy any tokens and coins on Bybit](https://docs.daomars.com/f.a.q/mdao-token/buying-mdao-tokens/buying-mdao-on-bybit)).

Click **Spot**, select the trading pair **TRX/USDT**, choose the order type, enter the amount, and click **Buy TRX**.

To withdraw from your wallet, go to **My Assets** section and click **Withdraw**.

In the TronLink wallet, click the **Receive** button and copy the wallet address for funding.

Enter the wallet address in the **Address** field, select the **TRC20** network, and enter the amount to withdraw.

Verify all the entered details and click **Withdraw**.

## Swapping TRX for MWD

The coins have arrived in your TronLink wallet, and you can now proceed with the swap.

Select the **TronLink** wallet and click the **Allow** button to proceed to the wallet.

Confirm the addition of the pair by checking the box and clicking **Continue**.

The wallet is now connected, and you can proceed with the swap. In the first field, enter the amount of TRX you want to exchange, and you will see how many tokens you will receive as a result. Click **Swap**.

**Make sure not to use your entire balance; leave some TRX to cover network fees.**

Click **Confirm Swap** and then confirm the transaction in your wallet by clicking **Confirm**.

## Adding tokens to your wallet

To add tokens to your wallet, on the main screen of the wallet, click the + button.

Then, next to the MWD token, click the + button again.

If your wallet is already connected, use the arrow to switch the assets' positions so that MWD is in the top field and TRX is in the bottom.

Enter the amount of MWD you wish to swap, and click **Swap**. Remember that all transactions incur network fees, so ensure you have TRX in your wallet.

To confirm the transaction, click the **Confirm Swap** button.

In the wallet, click the **Confirm** button. If this is your first swap, you will need to click **Confirm** again in the wallet to approve the use of tokens.

To return to the main menu of the wallet, click the back arrow.
